Carroll Mayse, B.S.
Carroll attended the University of Texas and received her B.S. in Foods and Nutrition from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She worked as a Nutritionist, Regional Trainer, and Program Manager for the State of Texas in the Long Term Care Regulatory Program. She successfully trained the entire region for the initial surveyor minimum qualification test. She was responsible for building a survey team from the ground up including hiring, orientating, and training professional (nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and pharmacists) and clerical staff members. Carroll retired after twenty-five years of service.
After not being on call 24/7, relaxing and traveling for six years she then served as a Content Mastery Instructional Assistant for four years at Scott Elementary in Temple. She assisted students in all subject areas, created logs to track student progress and time spent in Content Mastery. She maintained and trained students in using passwords for the Accelerated Reading program. As the receptionist at Bonham Middle School, she greeted the public, parents and students, and directed them to their destinations. She was also responsible for signing students in and out and data entering daily attendance and other records. It is a joy for Carroll to be at ACT Central Texas in Temple.
